Recently-ended Korean drama I Remember You was yet another success story for creating and maintaining close friendships among the cast members.
Starring Seo In Guk, Jang Na Ra, and Park Bo Gum, I Remember You aired its final (16th) episode on August 11th. However, the main cast members gathered together again a week later along with supporting cast member Choi Won Young. A commentary session for the crime drama’s DVD production was held, where the actors and actresses actively took selfies together to commemorate their friendship.
Jang Na Ra tweeted, “Should I remember you.. or not..ha. The day we gathered together because of ‘I Remember You’ dvd. I. The dongsaengs In Guk-ie and Bo Gum-ie who are prettier than me^^”
Actor Choi Won Young who played Lee Joon Young/Lee Joon Ho also tweeted, “Dvd commentary. The day we revealed secrets from the drama~ Saying hello with Bo Gum’s selca stick which looks like a sword* Here’s a photo!”
Lastly, Park Bo Gum, who played Seo In Guk’s younger brother, tweeted, “#IRememberYou With hyung.♡”

Kogi: Jonathan, Others Want Wada Stopped by All Means in Today’s PDP Primary

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has told the Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idis Wada, that he would not support him on his second term bid, and directed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to do everything to stop him in the governorship primary that is expected to take place today in Lokoja, one of the senior aides of the governor told THISDAY last night.

The PDP primary designed to pick its flag-bearer in the state was scheduled to hold last Thursday, September 10, but was put off in the last minute by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and fixed it for today.

Even though the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, had attributed the postponement to ‘’logistics issues,’’ THISDAY gathered that the postponement was at the instance of Jonathan to enable the party’s leaders decide on the alternative candidate to Capt. Wada.

“It started like a rumour; but former President Jonathan came out openly today (Sunday) and told the governor that he would not support him. And as I speak with you, he is calling leaders of the PDP in the state not to support the governor in the primary that will take place on Monday,’’ the governor’s aide told THISDAY last night in Abuja.

“Politicians have no conscience. What has Governor  Wada done to deserve all these from Jonathan? Anyway, God is with us; let’s wait and see what will happen on Monday.’’

Investigations revealed that Jonathan and his supporters within the PDP’s organs had blamed the Kogi State’s governor for the party’s poor outing in the state during the last presidential election.

The party was roundly defeated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, including in Wada’s ward and local government area and Jonathan’s men believed it was a deliberate act by the governor.

“Jonathan believed then and he still believes the governor supported the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, because he is a Muslim; but it is not true. It was Senator Smart Adeyemi and Col. Ahmadu Ali, the former national chairman of the PDP, who misinformed the former president,’’ our source added.

Apart from Jonathan, others PDP’s leaders against Wada’s re-election include: former PDP national chairman, Ali; former Governor Ibrahim Idris; Senator Adeyemi; Senator Tunde Ogbeha and others.

Gov.Wada is seeking a second term ticket to contest on the platform of the PDP.

Nigeria Withdraws Diplomatic Passports From Unauthorized Former Officials

Nigeria’s army of former diplomatic and official passport holders on Monday found the documents to be worthless pieces of paper with the federal government announcing they have been revoked.  

Those affected by the order include former governors, legislators, Ministers, Commissioners, Special Advisers/Special Assistants, Chairmen/Deputy Chairmen of Local Governments, Heads of parastatals, and civil servants.

A statement issued by the Comptroller-General of the Immigration Service, MK Abeshi, said the revocation followed a previous directive, and that the documents are to be returned to the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters in Abuja immediately.

“Failure to comply with this directive will amount to an offence under the Immigration Act 2015,” he said, warning that further unauthorized possession will be impounded at Nigeria’s border control posts on arrival or departure.

Nasarawa Govt Spends N792m On 36 Modern Primary Schools

The chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mallam Abdulkarim Mohammed, said yesterday that the state government spent N792million to construct 36 modern primary schools across the state from January 2011 to date.
Mohammed told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lafia that the state government also earmarked N1.1billion for the provision of furniture in schools across the state.
The chairman said Governor Tanko Al-Makura’s APC-led administration is extremely committed to improving the education sector because it is the bedrock of the development of any society.
He said, “Al-Makura has vowed to take education to the doorsteps of all and sundry in the state.”
The chairman also disclosed that the Federal Government/Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB) had funded the fencing of some schools.
He said that the federal authorities also provided boreholes, constructed three blocks of classrooms in some parts of the state and did the landscaping of some schools that were prone to erosion.
Mohammed explained that the construction of three special schools, one in each senatorial zone, had reached advanced stage.
“The schools, which are being located in Lafia, Gudi and Keffi, would after completion, accommodate physically challenged persons in the state and the country in general to meet their educational needs.
“That of Lafia is 95 per cent under completion and would soon be commissioned, considering the importance which the governor attached to education of persons with disability,” he said.
